I just got my next 2 expired domains up and running.
The first one was a PR2 site that I found called Guitar Gear Direct. All the guitar sites I bought I created a back link to my first guitar site that I put up and it is really helping traffic on that site. I am getting 400-500 uniques per day. I am curious what the PR will be on the next update. Since I linked like 4 or 5 sites to it all with PR1 to PR4 I think.
The second one is a new niche for me and is called Rod N Reel Shop. This one was a PR1 site that I found that was expiring. I figure this one might be seasonal in most areas but should perform well. I guess we will see.
So far this month I am well on track to hit my $1,500 goal for the month. It is hard to believe I was just making only $150 per month a few short months ago. That just goes to show you that you can turn it around in a minute. For me it was finding one good site that was sitting dormant and I contacted the owner to buy it. If you come across a site that looks like it has potential, ranks well in google but is neglected and possibly not even monetized do a WHOIS and contact the owner about selling. Chances are the owner knows nothing about affiliate marketing and might not even know they are sitting on a gold mine. It doesn’t hurt to ask. I have gotten replies like, “You must be out of your mind asking me to sell my site for pocket change ($75)”. No big deal I just move on. Don’t let it get to you. I have bought some good site privately for $50 – $100.
