I picked one domain that was acting up and tracked it down to wp-cron.php that is running everytime I get a visit or even a bot visit like from googlebot. So today Googlebot is just all over this site and the wp-cron.php runs each time and returns a 404 error. I read up on this and it says to modify your etc/hosts file. Well I can’t find that file on my server. I have a etc/hosts folder but no hosts file.

That is as far as I got so far… this is so frustrating to me at the moment that I feel like dumping WordPress and finding an alternative.

So until I get this under control you can expect this site and any of my others to be running slow or even unresponsive.

How am I supposed to fix my Mayday issues and get my income back to a respectable level when I am spending all my time tracking down technical issues?

I was trying to find a post I wrote a few months ago and man was it ever difficult without a search option. What was I thinking not putting a search form on this blog?

This one was for fun and will probably get me into trouble somehow. I kept getting all these Tiger Woods jokes in my email and heard people using the phrase, pull a Tiger. So now when I talk about someone cheating I find myself thinking that they are pulling a Tiger. After hearing it several times I googled it. Turns out a site called, American Slang Dictionary, as a definition available… LOL…

Pull a Tiger
Referring to a seemingly successful (or otherwise well-off) individual who has scandalized themselves and potentially ruined their relationship/family/home by means of repeated infidelity.

So naturally I decided to register the site pullatiger.com. For now Pull A Tiger is just going to be the home of the Tiger Woods jokes and pictures that people email me. If traffic picks up I will monetize it with more then the one adsense ad that is there now.

My other guitar sites are geared towards acoustic guitars, so I thought I would try my hand at some electric guitars. I am not expecting anything great here, but it should be a pretty good earner. This is a new domain that I just registered.

I am trying to watch expiring domains and pick up a few domains that have some existing back links and PR. If I get any I will let you know which ones and how they perform with EPN.
