Playing with the Themes

I am playing with the theme of this site. I want to make some major changes to this site in the new year. I am going to be announcing a very aggressive internet marketing goal for the first half of 2011 soon. I am busy working on my “all in scraper” program and this site falls second on the list after that. I only had a few minutes this evening before going to bed and I did not want to get into programming so I changed the theme here to see if I like it. I like the theme but I am not crazy about the colors. I will have to do a little digging and see what I can come up with.

I saved the sidebars from my old theme which contained my monthly income reports and will integrate that into this new theme somehow. I just wanted to mention it since you may notice that my income stats are gone. They will be back soon.

Anyone have any suggestions on a good them that is similar to this one?

I don’t have much time each night to be working and I am really stuck on this captcha problem. So I decided to try out freelancer.com. If for $50 to $100 I can get this resolved then it is well worth the time I would be saving trying to do it myself. I will write the rest of the program I just need someone to look to figure out what it is that I am so obviously missing. It is probably something right in front of my face but that is how these things work. So the bidding ends tomorrow and I will pick someone for the job. I hope my first experience with them is a good one.

I removed the Adsense ads from the RSS feed for this site. To be honest I forgot they were there. I can’t believe they were set to display after every post. I would like to see my subscriber count increase and I am hoping this will help by being less annoying

Dedicated Server Running Super Slow!

Man I am getting so sick of trying to get to the bottom of my WordPress sites sucking the life out of my server!

I picked one domain that was acting up and tracked it down to wp-cron.php that is running everytime I get a visit or even a bot visit like from googlebot. So today Googlebot is just all over this site and the wp-cron.php runs each time and returns a 404 error. I read up on this and it says to modify your etc/hosts file. Well I can’t find that file on my server. I have a etc/hosts folder but no hosts file.

That is as far as I got so far… this is so frustrating to me at the moment that I feel like dumping WordPress and finding an alternative.

So until I get this under control you can expect this site and any of my others to be running slow or even unresponsive.

How am I supposed to fix my Mayday issues and get my income back to a respectable level when I am spending all my time tracking down technical issues?

I was trying to find a post I wrote a few months ago and man was it ever difficult without a search option. What was I thinking not putting a search form on this blog?

Night off from EPN…

Geez… I take a night off from EPN and I find myself making a blog anyways!

This one was for fun and will probably get me into trouble somehow. I kept getting all these Tiger Woods jokes in my email and heard people using the phrase, pull a Tiger. So now when I talk about someone cheating I find myself thinking that they are pulling a Tiger. After hearing it several times I googled it. Turns out a site called, American Slang Dictionary, as a definition available… LOL…

Pull a Tiger
Referring to a seemingly successful (or otherwise well-off) individual who has scandalized themselves and potentially ruined their relationship/family/home by means of repeated infidelity.

So naturally I decided to register the site pullatiger.com. For now Pull A Tiger is just going to be the home of the Tiger Woods jokes and pictures that people email me. If traffic picks up I will monetize it with more then the one adsense ad that is there now.

Well I hit another milestone with yesterdays posted earnings! $204.73 in a single day. This is the first time I earned over $200 in a single day with EPN. Every single day this month so far I have earned over $100 per day and every single day so far has been higher then the previous day. This month looks to be another record breaking month for me. Lets hope we all see record breaking earnings and more $200+ days in my future!

I just put up my other site that I bought that was an expiring domain. Guitar Coffee Shop was a PR2 site. Now just to wait and see what results I get.

Another Guitar Niche Site

I just put up a new guitar niche site called, Used Electric Guitar.

My other guitar sites are geared towards acoustic guitars, so I thought I would try my hand at some electric guitars. I am not expecting anything great here, but it should be a pretty good earner. This is a new domain that I just registered.

I am trying to watch expiring domains and pick up a few domains that have some existing back links and PR. If I get any I will let you know which ones and how they perform with EPN.
