WOW! This is some breaking news today! I am not sure what to make out of it with all the posts I have read in the EPN forum. I am hoping the change is for the better, but I am just not sure.
CPC is cost per click and with this method eBay will be paying affiliates an amount, determined by them, for each and every click you send to eBay. You will no longer be paid for ACRU’s or revenue. They will still track this info to determine the quality of traffic you are sending to them. Then based on their calculations they will determine the quality level and pay an appropriate amount of money per click.
Everyone’s question is how much will they be getting per click? Well we will have to wait until next week sometime when they release a new report that will estimate the figure for you.
These changes are set to go live in September for new affiliates and October for existing affiliates. I have read that about 30 affiliates have been testing this system for some time already.
I just don’t know if this is all good or bad. I don’t think anyone will until we go live and all the dust settles in a few months time. Thoughts?
