Now that the report is out that you can compare your current earnings against the new QCP earnings I have to say that I am excited. My report actually shows at the moment that I am at the same EPC with either program. That is with one ACRU included from the old structure. Had I not received that ACRU I would have most likely been on the higher end with QCP. This is all speculating from the numbers I crunched.
I have a million ideas of how QCP will work better for me then the old payment structure. I like that every click to eBay will pay me something regardless if they buy or not. This is almost like adsense but better. Why is it better? Well because I can blend the links to eBay in with my site using the API. I think people are so used to seeing adsense ads that they choose not to click them. If adsense had an API that would allow me to blend the ads or links into my site like eBay does I could earn much more with adsense.
I read a case study that EPN just released and it makes some great points. I stayed clear from PPC traffic in the past because it was hard to judge if I was making money or not in the short term because of the 7 day cookie and 30 day ACRU option. So now we know what we earned the very next day. So I can compare my PPC spendings from yesterday with todays earnings and see if I am profitable or not. This is a great thing!
I always try to target specific products on each of my sites and individual pages. This way I am honing in on what I feel is good quality traffic to send to eBay. Man I plan to hit the ground running with QCP. I actually wish I was on the payment structure for September. I dont know if I can wait until October! I guess I will just start getting my current sites and new site ready for what I think is going to be an awesome 4th quarter with eBay Partner Network!
