Well I got it pretty much finished up. I am not sure how well it is going to perform yet. I might need to make some tweaks here and there yet. My first new niche site with this script is Cricut Projects.
Like I mentioned in my earlier posts, we all know that google likes WordPress. So I am hoping they will like my new sites better. I am putting in a few pages of original content. this site doesn’t have much because I am not very up to speed with the niche.
The script uses the eBay API to recommend other related keywords and incorporates them into the WordPress search. Thus giving the site many search pages that will get indexed in addition to the static link pages that I put the content on.
I threw in some Clickbank links for fun to see what happens with those. I am staying clear of AdSense on these sites as a test. I didn’t even load google analytics on them. I want to see if I don’t put any google owned code on my pages if I get treated any differently by google. My thoughts are they will have less information about my sites if their code is not on my sites. Just a thought and probably a crazy one at that.
Well now comes the tedious part. I get to setup more sites. How does the saying go… rinse and repeat…
Your site http://www.cricutprojects.info/ returns an error if the search field is empty.
Nice simple layout btw!
Having less google code on your sites works in your favor.
Interesting that your still using .info since google in general associates it with spam.
I got that empty search problem resolved. Thanks again for bringing it to my attention Marcus.
Thanks Marcus! I will correct that empty search problem.
Thanks for the tip on the google code… I had that feeling but was not sure.
I am using .info because it is 2.98 for the first year. I guess I should consider paying for the .com instead. I have had ok luck with .info and it is easier to get the keywords I want in the domain name. Maybe I would even have better luck if I go with .com.
Once again thanks for sharing your thoughts!
FYI, EPN will expire your account in a New York minute if they find out you’re using a trademark domain (Cricut). Just thought you’d like to know.
Thanks Scott. I never really gave it a thought. I would imagine there are a lot of affiliates doing this.
