Random Niche Ideas

I am in search of a way to quickly get ideas for new niches that I may not have thought of on my own. I often check eBay pulse and google trends but these are often the same stuff or not product related. For example google trends often is too much about current news and events. ebay pulse is great but it is time consuming and I always find myself digging up the same stuff.

So this site is the closest to what I am looking for: Random Niche Generator

I am just not sure yet if it will continue to offer me new ideas or if it will quickly become the same stuff over and over again.

If I had more time I bet I could design the site I am looking for using the eBay or Yahoo API. I would have to pull some random word or product somehow and then use the API to pull related search terms. Hmm… another project idea that I probably won’t find time for.  Plus I am not sure how I would pull the random word and always have it be a product that is offered on eBay or Amazon.

Let me know if you have any websites that are great for finding new niches. I will even consider buying a software program to do this. The only catch is that I don’t want to have to enter a search term. I want it to be 100% random/brainstorming. If I already have the keyword for a niche I know how to research it further.

    ok, as I thought I am getting the same ideas over and over from this site. so now it is pretty much useless to me.

    On the plus side I think I found a great way to find unlimitted random niches. I stumbled upon it by mistake.

    Go to http://www.google.com/products and it lists 25 recently found items through google product search. Refresh at any time and you get 25 more. This is pretty cool. I can see myself using this a lot.

    I wish google base has an API that I could get that same info. Maybe they do… I could not find it when I looked briefly.
